Product Description
Product Overview
The Five-Port Micro Sealed Electrochemical Cell is a compact, fully enclosed glass reactor designed for precision electrochemical measurements under controlled gas and liquid environments. Its multi-neck, heart-shaped micro-reactor geometry offers excellent mixing, minimal dead volume, and stable mass-transfer behavior—ideal for advanced mechanistic studies, catalyst screening, and oxygen/moisture-sensitive electrochemistry.
Available in 5 mL / 10 mL / 20 mL / 30 mL / 50 mL, with optional borosilicate or high-purity quartz.
This cell is engineered for researchers requiring small-volume, high-precision, gas-tight electrochemical operation.
Key Features
1. Five Functional Ports (Customizable)
Each microcell includes 5 independent access ports:
·Working electrode port (GL-standard thread or custom adapter)
·Counter electrode port
·Reference electrode port
·Gas inlet / bubbler port
·Gas outlet / condenser / sampling port
This configuration supports:
✔ Gas purging (Ar / N₂)
✔ In-situ electrolysis
✔ Real-time analytical sampling
✔ Moisture-sensitive or air-sensitive experiments
2. High-Performance Glass Body
You may choose:
·Borosilicate glass (standard)
·Excellent chemical resistance
·-80 °C to 200 °C stability
·Shock-resistant
·Quartz (premium)
·Ultra-low metal contamination
·High-temperature stability up to 1000 °C
·Ideal for photoelectrochemistry (UV transparency)
3. Micro-Volume, High Sensitivity Design
The unique vessel shape minimizes:
·solution dead volume
·ohmic drop
·diffusion distance
This improves signal-to-noise ratio and enables high-precision kinetic measurements, even with expensive or rare catalysts.
4. Gas-Tight PTFE or PEEK Stoppers
Every port is sealed using chemically inert materials:
·PTFE (standard)
·PEEK (optional, high-temperature)
Ensures long-term airtight operation.
5. Full Electrode Compatibility
Supports:
·Glassy carbon rod
·Platinum wire / mesh
·Gold electrode
·Ag/AgCl or Hg/HgO reference electrodes
·Rotating electrode adapters (optional)
