Product Description
Ir–Ta Titanium Sheet Electrode | FrankLab
Product Overview
The FrankLab Ir–Ta Titanium Sheet Electrode is a high-performance MMO (Mixed Metal Oxide) anode designed for electrochemical systems requiring extreme durability, high oxygen evolution efficiency, and long-term structural integrity.
This electrode features a titanium substrate coated with an Iridium–Tantalum oxide layer, forming a stable, conductive, and corrosion-resistant surface optimized for OER, CER, electro-oxidation, electrosynthesis, industrial electrolysis, and wastewater treatment applications.
Each electrode is composed of:
• Titanium Sheet (Grade 1 or 2)
• Ir–Ta Mixed Metal Oxide Coating(customizable loading & thickness)
• PTFE Electrode Rod(chemically inert)
• Gold-Plated Copper Terminal(FrankLab standard)
The MMO coating provides catalytic activity comparable to noble metals while offering superior cost efficiency and long lifespan.
Key Features
• Ir–Ta Mixed Metal Oxide Coating (MMO)
• Highly stable under high anodic potentials
• Excellent catalytic activity for OER and CER
• Long operational lifetime in acidic, alkaline, and chloride-containing media
• Resistant to coating degradation even in oxidizing conditions
• Customizable Ir/Ta ratio and coating thickness
• Titanium Sheet Substrate
• Lightweight, strong, highly corrosion-resistant
• Maintains structural stability during long electrolysis cycles
• Grade 1 or Grade 2 titanium available
• PTFE Electrode Rod
