Product Description
Electrolysis Cell (Non-metallic Cathode)
Product Overview
This electrolysis cell is a membrane-electrode electrolyzer specially designed with a non-metallic cathode flow plate, aimed at electrochemical systems where metal contamination, parasitic reactions, or background interference must be strictly avoided.
The cell integrates a membrane-separated structure, serpentine flow field, and asymmetric electrode material design, making it particularly suitable for CO₂ electroreduction, electrosynthesis, membrane electrolysis, and long-term stability studies.
Unlike conventional full-metal electrolyzers, the cathode side adopts PEEK (polyether ether ketone) as the structural flow-field material, significantly improving chemical compatibility while maintaining mechanical strength and sealing reliability.
Structural Design & Configuration
• Cell type: Membrane Electrode Electrolysis Cell
• Cathode material (flow plate): PEEK (non-metallic, high-performance polymer)
• Anode material (flow plate): High-purity titanium (Ti)
• Membrane position: Sandwiched between cathode and anode chambers
• Flow field: Serpentine channel design (uniform distribution, enhanced mass transfer)
• Assembly type: Bolt-compressed modular structure with replaceable internal components
The asymmetric material design ensures electrochemical inertness on the cathode side while retaining excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance on the anode side.
