Product Description
The Membrane Electrode Gas Diffusion Flow Cell  is a research-grade MEA-type electrochemical reactor engineered for high-efficiency gas–solid–liquid interfacial reactions. It is specifically designed for gas diffusion electrode (GDE) systems where precise control of mass transport, interelectrode distance, and membrane separation is critical.
This cell is an advanced evolution of conventional membrane electrode electrolysis cells. By integrating a serpentine gas flow field on the gas chamber side and an ultra-short interelectrode spacing, the reactor significantly enhances gas utilization, reduces ohmic resistance, and improves overall electrochemical efficiency. The architecture is optimized for demanding applications such as CO₂ electroreduction (CO₂RR), gas-phase electrosynthesis, and membrane-separated electrolysis under high current density.
Constructed from high-purity titanium, the cell provides excellent chemical stability, mechanical strength, and long-term durability under acidic, alkaline, or neutral electrolytes. Its modular sandwich structure allows repeated assembly and disassembly without performance degradation, making it suitable for systematic catalyst and membrane evaluation.

Cell Structure and Design Concept
The 101019 cell adopts a three-layer sandwich configuration, forming a well-defined gas–solid–liquid triple-phase boundary:
1.Gas Chamber (Cathode Side)
•Equipped with a serpentine flow field, commonly used in MEA fuel cells.
•Extends gas residence time and ensures uniform gas distribution across the GDE surface.
•Enhances reactant utilization and suppresses local concentration gradients.
2.Membrane Layer
•Accommodates user-supplied ion-exchange membranes (AEM, PEM, or BPM).
•Effectively separates cathodic and anodic environments while enabling controlled ionic transport.
•Prevents gas crossover and liquid flooding during long-term operation.
3.Liquid Electrolyte Chamber (Anode Side)
•Designed for flowing or static electrolyte operation.
•Features an interelectrode distance of approximately 0.4 mm, greatly reducing solution resistance and improving energy efficiency.
This compact configuration is ideal for studying intrinsic electrocatalytic behavior under realistic gas-fed conditions.

Key Features
Serpentine gas flow field for enhanced gas–electrode contact and reaction efficiency
Ultra-short interelectrode distance (~0.4 mm) to minimize ohmic losses
