Product Description
PMMA / Acrylic Electrochemical Cell
Adjustable Gap · H-type / Single Cell · Modular Electrochemical Reactor
Product Overview
The FrankLab Acrylic Electrochemical Cell is a modular, transparent, large-volume electrochemical reactor designed for mechanism studies, membrane separation, ion transport analysis, and long-duration electrolysis.
Compared with traditional glass cells, PMMA cells provide:
•Larger working volume
•Fully visible internal structure
•Adjustable electrode distance
•Replaceable ion-exchange membrane
•Excellent mechanical strength for long-time operation
This platform is widely used in CO₂ electrolysis, water splitting, ion-selective transport, electrodialysis, and scale-up validation experiments.
Available Configurations
1. Single Cell (Single-Chamber)
•Single electrolyte chamber
•Large-area working electrode support
•Suitable for bulk electrolysis & material stability tests
Available volumes: 300 mL / 500 mL / 1000 mL
2.Single-Cell Cycling Version
•Based on Single Cell
•Additional ports for electrolyte circulation
•Supports pump-driven cycling experiments
Available volumes: 300 mL / 500 mL / 1000 mL
3. H-type Electrochemical Cell
•Two symmetric chambers separated by membrane
•Classic H-type configuration for reaction separation
•Ideal for CO₂RR, OER–HER decoupling
Available volumes: 400 mL / 600 mL / 800 mL
4. Three-Chamber H-type Cell
•Anode / cathode + middle chamber
•Independent electrolyte environments
•Suitable for advanced ion transport & crossover studies
Available volume: 1200 mL
