VGB-3 is a middle size heavy-duty stainless steel glove box with Airlock Chamber, Gauges and vacuum Flanges, which allows the glove box to vacuum the chamber to remove moisture and oxygen without expensive inert gas purging, It is an ideal tool for material and chemical researchers to process air sensitive materials and solutions.

  • Case Material: Made of 11 gauge (3mm thickness) 304 stainless steel sheet with support frame and plastic paint, which provide heavy duty structure for vacuum

    • High resistance to aromatics, hydrocarbons, solvents, fats, and acids
    • Resists ozone
    • High static dissipative qualities
Vacuum pump and fittings (Optional)
  • The vacuum pump and fittings are not included. (Please click on the first picture below to order separately) 
  • We may add a customized flange to connect a tube furnace to the glove box
  • You may order pressure controller to keep inert gas pressure constant ( click Pic below right 2)

Warranty
  • One year limited warranty with lifetime support
  • Rusting and damage due to improper storage condition or maintenance are not covered by warranty
  • Gloves are consumable items and are not covered under warranty

Application Notes
  • By closing the vacuum flange, the glove box can be vacuumed by a mechanical pump up to 0.05 torr before filling inert gas, (moisture can be below 180 ppm and oxygen below 200 ppm). Then you can save at least 1-2 tanks of inert gas from purging at each operation
  • Please email us to get the price and lead time for multi-pin feedthrough on the glove box if you need to measure the sample inside the chamber, Franklab's technician can provide a solution with no impact on sealing (leaking rate less than 6 torrs/hour) in an affordable price.   • You may choose the humidity and oxygen analyzer below at extra cost  to monitor gas humidity and oxygen content inside the glove box

  • The humidity inside the glove box can be controlled by using either manual purging system or Gas Purification System. Please see our experimental results below:
    • Humidity Range 4~5% Rh: Can be achieved after manually purging the system for 6 cycles by using N2 gas supply tank
    • Humidity Range < 2% Rh: Please use either gas supply with 99.9999% gas purity with a moisture filter or a Recirculating Gas Purification System for purging
