Gold Disk Electrode, >99.99% Purity
Gold Disk Electrode | High-Purity Au Working Electrode
(Straight Type / Customizable Diameter / PTFE-Insulated)
The FrankLab Gold Disk Electrode (Au) is a high-precision working electrode engineered for electrochemical studies that require exceptional stability, clean surface chemistry, and high reproducibility.
Made from ≥99.99% high-purity gold, the electrode provides an ideal platform for studies involving self-assembled monolayers (SAMs), thiol chemistry, noble-metal electrocatalysis, and redox mechanism exploration.
Each gold disk is mirror-polished to sub-micron flatness and embedded in a chemically inert PTFE body to ensure extremely low background currents and long-term durability in acidic, neutral, and alkaline media.
Available Diameters
| Gold Disk Diameter | Typical Use |
| 0.5 mm | Microelectrode applications, low-current systems |
| 1 mm | Analytical electrochemistry, fast electron-transfer studies |
| 2 mm | General-purpose kinetic measurements |
| 3 mm | SAM formation, catalyst studies |
| 4 mm | High-signal experiments |
| 5 mm | Standard benchmarking electrode |
| 6 mm | High-current response, surface-sensitive studies |
