n-situ X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS / XAFS) Electrochemical Cell

Real-Time Electronic Structure Probing · Synchrotron-Compatible · Modular Architecture

Product Overview
The FrankLab In-situ X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS / XAFS) Electrochemical Cell is a precision-engineered reactor designed for real-time investigation of electronic structure, oxidation states, and local coordination environments of electrode materials during electrochemical operation.
Optimized for synchrotron-based XAS/XAFS experiments, this platform enables simultaneous electrochemical control and X-ray transmission or fluorescence detection, allowing researchers to directly correlate electrochemical performance with atomic-scale structural evolution.
The cell features a replaceable X-ray transparent window, chemically resistant construction, and modular configurations supporting single-cell and dual-cell (H-type) electrochemical reactions.

Available Models & Configurations
XAFS-1 | Single-Chamber In-situ XAS Cell
•Compact single-cell configuration
•Ideal for liquid-phase electrochemical XAS studies
•Simple assembly and fast beamline alignment
XAFS-2 | Dual-Chamber (H-Type) In-situ XAS Cell
•Cathode and anode separated by a replaceable membrane
•Minimizes cross-interference between redox reactions
•Suitable for mechanistic and durability studies
