In-situ XRD Li-ion Test Cell [Three-Electrode]

In-situ XRD Li-ion Test Cell [Three-Electrode]

Product Description
Shipping & Delivery
Product Overview
The In-situ Raman Electrochemical Cell is a three-electrode, operando-grade test platform engineered for real-time Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical analysis of battery and electrode materials under realistic cycling conditions.
Unlike two-electrode XRD cells, B003-RM integrates a dedicated Ag/AgCl reference electrode, enabling precise potential control, accurate kinetic measurements, and mechanistic electrochemical studies during in-situ optical observation.
Machined from high-purity titanium and equipped with a sapphire optical window positioned < 2 mm from the working electrode, B003-RM delivers exceptional Raman signal quality, mechanical stability, and long-term reproducibility—meeting the standards expected by PI-level research groups, synchrotron users, and advanced battery engineers.

Structural Design & Electrochemical Architecture
True Three-Electrode Configuration
Working electrode (WE)
Counter electrode (CE)
Ag/AgCl reference electrode (RE) ✔ Enables accurate potential referencing and separation of kinetic vs. ohmic effects ✔ Essential for mechanistic Raman-electrochemical studies
Ultra-Close Optical Access
⌀8 mm sapphire window
< 2 mm WE-to-window distance
•Optimized for high-signal operando Raman spectroscopy
Pressure-Controlled Stack
•Integrated spring-loaded compression system
•Enables controlled contact pressure
•Ideal for studying interfacial resistance, SEI evolution, and mechanical degradation

Materials & Sealing Integrity
Cell Body
High-purity titanium
•Excellent chemical resistance to battery electrolytes
•Low background signal for optical spectroscopy
Sealing System
•Chemically resistant O-rings
•Screw-fastened structure for uniform compression
•Gas-tight and electrolyte-stable
Workflow Compatibility
•Fully glovebox compatible
•Can be transferred to ambient or optical platforms after sealing

Key Advantages
True Three-Electrode Precision Enables reliable potential-controlled Raman measurements, unlike pseudo two-electrode designs.
Operando Raman-Optimized Geometry Minimal optical path length maximizes Raman signal while reducing fluorescence and scattering losses.
Pressure-Tunable Interfaces Spring loading allows systematic investigation of contact resistance and mechanical–electrochemical coupling.
Battery-Relevant Engineering Designed for real cycling—not static demonstrations—supporting long experiments and repeated use.
Rapid Assembly & Reproducibility Fast disassembly supports quick sample turnover, cleaning, and protocol iteration.
