In-situ XRD Li-ion Test Cell [Two-Electrode]

In-situ XRD Li-ion Test Cell [Two-Electrode]

Product Description
Shipping & Delivery
Product Overview
The In-situ XRD Li-ion Test Cell is a two-electrode operando electrochemical cell engineered for real-time structural and phase evolution studies of battery electrodes during electrochemical cycling.
Built entirely from high-purity titanium, the cell delivers exceptional chemical stability, mechanical robustness, and X-ray compatibility. A sapphire optical/X-ray window positioned extremely close to the working electrode enables high signal-to-noise in-situ XRD and synchrotron measurements, even under dynamic cycling conditions.
A spring-loaded compression system allows precise control of stack pressure, making the B002-XRD particularly suitable for investigating solid–solid interfaces, contact resistance, SEI evolution, and electrode integrity in Li-ion and beyond-Li battery systems.

Structural Design & Engineering
Two-Electrode Architecture
•Designed for battery-relevant configurations
•Supports separator or membrane isolation (user-supplied)
•Minimizes geometric complexity for clean diffraction signals
Ultra-Close Optical Access
⌀8 mm sapphire window
< 2 mm distance from working electrode
•Optimized for operando XRD, synchrotron, and optical probing
Pressure-Controlled Stack
•Integrated spring-loaded compression mechanism
•Enables reproducible mechanical pressure on electrode stack
•Critical for studying interfacial stability and contact evolution

Materials & Sealing
Cell Body
•High-purity Titanium
•Excellent resistance to electrolytes and reactive species
•Ideal for long-duration cycling and beamline use
Sealing System
•Chemically resistant O-ring sealing
•Reliable gas-tight performance
•Stable during glovebox assembly and external operation

Key Advantages
True Operando XRD Capability Enables direct correlation between electrochemical cycling and crystal structure evolution.
Pressure-Tunable Interface Spring-loaded design allows controlled investigation of mechanical–electrochemical coupling.
• Synchrotron-Compatible Geometry Compact footprint and optimized window placement reduce background scattering.
• Glovebox-to-Ambient Workflow Assemble in glovebox → seal → measure in ambient beamline environments.
• Fast Turnaround Testing Quick assembly/disassembly supports repeated experiments and rapid iteration.
