Ir–Ta Titanium Sheet Electrode
Ir–Ta Titanium Sheet Electrode | MMO Coated Ti Plate | FrankLab
Iridium–Tantalum Mixed Metal Oxide Coating · Exceptional Stability · Long Lifetime · Ideal for OER, CER & Harsh Electrochemical Environments
Product Overview
The FrankLab Ir–Ta Titanium Sheet Electrode is a high-stability MMO (Mixed Metal Oxide) anode composed of:
• Titanium plate substrate (Grade 1 or 2)
• Iridium–Tantalum oxide catalytic coating (IrO₂–Ta₂O₅)
Ir–Ta MMO coatings are globally recognized for:
• Outstanding corrosion resistance
• Long operational lifetime
• Excellent OER performance in acidic and neutral environments
• Superior stability in chloride-containing electrolytes
This makes Ir–Ta titanium sheet electrodes ideal for:
• Oxygen evolution reaction (OER)
• Chlorine evolution reaction (CER)
• Wastewater electro-oxidation
• Electro-organic synthesis
• Industrial electrolyzers
• High-current-density research applications
FrankLab provides multiple standard dimensions and full customization of coating thickness, Ir:Ta ratio, and plate geometry.
Key Features
• Ir–Ta MMO Coating (Iridium + Tantalum Oxides)
• High catalytic activity for OER and CER
• Extremely durable under high anodic potentials
• Excellent resistance to acid, chloride, and high-oxidation environments
• Customizable Ir:Ta ratio (higher Ir → catalytic performance; higher Ta → longer lifetime)
• Titanium Substrate (Grade 1 or Grade 2)
• Excellent corrosion resistance
• Lightweight and mechanically strong
• Provides strong adhesion for MMO coatings
• Suitable for high-current and industrial setups
• Long Operational Lifetime
Ir–Ta MMO is considered one of the most durable anode coatings available:
• Designed for prolonged electrolysis
• Resists delamination and degradation
• Significantly longer life than Pt-coated anodes or graphite plates
• Stable Electrochemical Behavior
• Low overpotential
• Minimal degradation over repeated cycles
• Smooth and consistent performance in CV/LSV/EIS
