Product Description
Photoelectrochemical Gas Diffusion Flow Cell with Exchangeable Membrane
Product Description
The Photoelectrochemical Gas Diffusion Flow Cell with Exchangeable Membrane is a modular in-situ photoelectrochemical (PEC) reactor specifically designed for gas-involving photoelectrochemical reactions. The cell integrates a photoelectrode flow chamber with optical window, a dedicated gas chamber, and a membrane-separated counter electrode flow chamber, enabling efficient light utilization, controlled gas transport, and independent product collection.
By employing a gas-diffusion-type photoelectrode, this flow cell effectively overcomes the light-blocking limitations commonly encountered in conventional liquid-phase PEC systems. Gas reactants such as CO₂ or N₂ are delivered directly to the catalyst layer through the gas diffusion interface, while the illuminated photoelectrode maintains stable electrochemical contact with the electrolyte.
The exchangeable membrane design allows rapid replacement of ion-exchange membranes (CEM, AEM, or BPM), supporting systematic investigations into ion transport, selectivity, and reaction mechanisms. The flow-cell configuration enables continuous operation and quantitative collection of both gas and liquid products, making it well suited for advanced PEC reduction studies.
