Platinum-Coated Titanium Electrode | FrankLab
PTFE Electrode Rod | Gold-Plated Copper Terminal | High-Durability Pt/Ti Electrode

Product Overview
The FrankLab Platinum-Coated Titanium Electrode is a high-performance electrode designed for electrochemical systems requiring exceptional durability, corrosion resistance, and catalytic activity. By combining a high-purity titanium substrate with a uniform platinum coating, this electrode provides the catalytic behavior of platinum with the mechanical strength and corrosion resistance of titanium.
Pt-coated Ti electrodes are widely used in OER, chlorine evolution, electrosynthesis, wastewater treatment, electroplating, and harsh acidic/alkaline electrochemical systems.
Each electrode consists of:

Platinum-Coated Titanium Plate / Mesh(customizable)

•PTFE Electrode Rod(chemically inert, stable)

•Gold-Plated Copper Terminal(FrankLab standard, low resistance)

•Optional reinforcement or edge finishing

This electrode offers the performance of noble metal catalysts while reducing material cost and enhancing long-term stability.

Key Features
• Platinum-Coated Titanium Active Surface
High catalytic activity comparable to pure Pt
Strong adhesion of Pt to Ti substrate
Superior durability in acidic and oxidative environments
Ideal for OER, CE reactions, and high-potential electrochemistry

Titanium Substrate (Grade 1 or Grade 2)
Outstanding corrosion resistance
Lightweight, mechanically strong
Stable under high current densities
Proven long life in industrial electrolyzers

• PTFE Electrode Rod
Inert to strong acids, bases, halides, and organic solvents
Ensures stable geometry and prevents contamination
Standard length: 80–120 mm(customizable)

• Gold-Plated Copper Terminal (FrankLab Standard)
Highly conductive
Corrosion-resistant, non-reactive
Maintains stable potential with minimal noise
Compatible with all standard electrochemical workstations
(Custom terminal materials available: Ni-plated Cu, stainless steel, titanium.)
