Platinum Column Electrode | Platinum Rod Electrode | >99.99% Pt | FrankLab

High-Purity Platinum Rod · Chemically Inert · Ideal for CV/LSV/EIS, Redox Studies, Catalysis, and Fundamental Electrochemistry

Product Overview

The FrankLab Platinum Column Electrode (also called Platinum Rod Electrode) is manufactured using a solid platinum rod (>99.99% purity) mounted inside a chemically resistant PTFE or PEEK body, with a gold-plated copper terminal ensuring a stable electrical connection.

Compared with platinum wire electrodes, platinum column (rod) electrodes offer:

• Larger geometric area

• Higher mechanical strength

• More stable temperature behavior

• Improved durability under high-current conditions

They are widely used in:

Cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)

Redox mechanism studies

Electrocatalyst evaluation

Oxygen/hydrogen evolution reactions

Analytical electrochemistry

Electrochemical sensors

Key Features

• Solid Platinum Rod (>99.99% Purity)

High chemical and electrochemical stability
