Product Description
Platinum Wire Electrode | >99.99% Purity Pt Wire | FrankLab
High-Purity Platinum · Chemically Inert · Ideal for Electrochemistry, Redox Studies & Reference Reactions
Product Overview
The FrankLab Platinum Wire Electrode is a high-purity (>99.99%) platinum wire sealed into a chemically resistant PTFE or PEEK electrode body, featuring a gold-plated copper terminal for stable electrical connection.
Platinum (Pt) is one of the most stable, inert, and widely used electrode materials in electrochemistry. It offers excellent resistance to oxidation, strong catalytic activity, and a wide electrochemical potential window.
This makes Pt wire electrodes suitable for:
• CV / LSV / EIS
• Redox reaction studies
• Analytical electrochemistry
• Sensor development
• Electrocatalyst evaluation
• Hydrogen evolution / oxygen evolution studies
Available in multiple diameters, exposed lengths, and body materials.
Key Features
• Ultra-High Purity Platinum (>99.99%)
• Excellent catalytic activity
• Superior chemical and thermal stability
• Ideal for analytical and research-grade electrochemistry
• PTFE or PEEK Electrode Body
Choose depending on chemical and temperature requirements:
| Body Material | Properties |
| PTFE | Excellent chemical resistance, ideal for general electrochemistry |
| PEEK | High-temperature stability, strong mechanical rigidity |
• Gold-Plated Copper Terminal
All FrankLab electrodes use gold-plated copper terminals for:
• Low contact resistance
• Strong corrosion resistance
• Stable signal transmission
Other terminal materials available upon request.
• Stable and Easily Cleaned Pt Surface
Platinum wire can be flame-cleaned, electrochemically cleaned, or polished depending on your experimental needs.
